Friends of Safety Town
In 2012, the Greensboro Police Foundation was established by a group of civic and business leaders with the goal of supporting the Greensboro Police Department in three focus areas: officer recognition and well-being; cutting-edge training, equipment, and technology; and community engagement. Our projects include the purchase of 125 body-worn cameras, making Greensboro the first major US city to outfit its entire patrol force with body cameras. We also helped to construct a second site of Safety Town at Barber Park in Greensboro, increasing access to this wonderful safety education program for young children. We believe that through advocacy for our police department, we can help keep Greensboro safe for all people. Through our support of programs such as Recognition Luncheons, we actively demonstrate our appreciation for the dedication and hard work of Greensboro police officers and employees.

All donations to the Greensboro Police Foundation will be used for the programs and initiatives of the Greensboro Police Foundation as directed by the Board of Directors. The GPF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your donation is tax deductible. Please check with your tax advisor.
Donation Refund Policy
If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to the Greensboro Police Foundation, we will honor your request for a refund made within 15 days of your donation.
To request a refund, please contact us. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
